About this tool

Keeping a YouTube video on an Android phone should not mean installing a modded app or an APK from a random website. This downloader lives in your browser: paste the link, pick a format, and Android’s own download manager saves the file to Downloads exactly as it would with any attachment.

Saved videos show up in your gallery and audio files in your music player without any extra step. Pick MP4 for video at up to 2160p, or MP3 if you only want the sound.

Which folder does the file go to?

Downloads. Open it in the Files app or via your browser’s download list; videos also appear in Gallery or Google Photos.

Do I have to enable “Install unknown apps”?

No. You are only downloading a media file, so nothing is installed and no permissions change.

Why can’t I download from inside the YouTube app?

The YouTube app does not offer downloads without Premium. Copy the link and use this page in your browser instead.

Will it work on an Android tablet or Android TV?

Tablets: yes, exactly like a phone. Android TV: only if it has a browser that supports downloads; a phone or tablet is simpler.
